Two Documentary Film Festival films win in the Student Competition the 4th Gulf Film Festival Awards

Two films completed recently in a project of the German Institute for Human Rights run by Goethe-Institut Irak in cooperation with Independent Film & Television College (Baghdad), and currently showing in the festival, CHARCOAL AND ASHES (dir Hussein Mohsen) and SING YOUR SONG (dir Omar Falah) have won first and second prize respectively, in the student section of the 2011 Gulf Film Festival in Dubai.

This traveling documentary film festival organised by Independent Film & Television College (Baghdad) will screen 16 short films made by students at the college. The festival will take place in April/May 2011 across three cities in Iraq.
